Another great success of the Macedonian cinematography, the film “Half-Sister” in the main competition of Karlovy Vary Film Festival

The film “Half-sister” by Damjan Kozole, a co-production between Slovenia, North Macedonia and Serbia, will have its world premiere in the main selection of the prestigious Karlovy Vary Film Festival. Macedonian producer of the film is the production company Sisters and Brother Mitevski and the participation of the film in the main competition of this renowned festival is not only indicative of their successful work, but also a great accomplishment for the Macedonian cinematography.

The Macedonian crew consists of actress Labina Mitevska, editor – Atanas Georgiev, sound recordist -Igor Popovski, boom operator – Darko Boshkovski, camera assistant – Marijan Bocevski, art director – Boban Petrushevski with part of the sound post-production by Audiohouse and casting of the Macedonian team by Kirijana Nikoloska.

This is Sisters and Brother Mitevski’s second co-production with Damjan Kozole following the film “Night Life”, which was also screened at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, where he won the Crystal Globe for Best Director in 2016.

Damjan Kozole is one of the leading Slovenian and Balkan directors, whose films always deal with current topics. All of his films enjoy a rich festival life and distribution in Europe.

The premiere of “Half-Sister” in Karlovy Vary will be held on July 2, with two more screenings on July 3 and 5.
