The North Macedonia Film Agency has established a one-year partnership for cooperation with the programme Less Is More 2019. LIM – Less is More 2019 is structured around 3 one-week workshops in three different parts of Europe: Workshop 1 in Krakow (March, 5 – 10), Workshop 2 in Transylvania (31.05-09.06) and Workshop 3 in Brittany / France (October, 11 – 16).
LIM programme is supported by Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union and is led by Le Groupe Ouest and developed in partnership with Control N (Romania), Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds – VAF (Belgium), Krakow Festival Office – kbf (Poland), and the Transilvania International Film Festival – TIFF (Romania) in partnership with the Lithuanian Film Center, the Norwegian Film Institute and the North Macedonia Film Agency.
The second workshop started today within the Transilvania Film Festival with a presentation of the full agenda of the event and all accompanying activities.
A representative from the North Macedonia Film Agency is present at the workshop which also features selected Macedonian participants – Gjorche Stavreski in the Project Dvelopment section with his new project in development and Elena Stanisheva in the section Developing Angels.
16 projects have been selected at this workshop, which are still at an early stage of development, and all selected participants shall present their projects to European producers and film-professionals among which producers, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters. The purpose of this meeting is to create an international network of film professionals, all united around the goals of LIM: to work through the prism of limited budget as a step closer to independent cinematography.
As part of their cooperation, the LIM program and the North Macedonia Film Agency shall organize a script workshop “LIM | Less Is More Pre-writing workshop “, which will be held in Bitola, within the 40th jubilee edition of the ICFF Manaki Brothers, and the call for submissions is already open.
In addition, Macedonian film “God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya” by Teona Strugar Mitevska will be screened in the official program of Transylvania Film Festival.
