The feature film “Amok”, directed by by Vardan Tozija and produced by Dream Factory will be shown at the 5th edition of Balkan Florence Express, which will be held from 23 to 26 February 2017 in Florence, Italy.
The festival provides an overview of the best films from the Western Balkans. Organizers are Oxfam Italy and Sistema Toscana Foundation, in collaboration with the Film Festival in Trieste and with the support of the Toscana Film Commission.
Curiosity is that a huge number of debut films, by now well established and renowned filmmakers from the region, had their premieres on this particular festival. Director Vardan Tozija will attend the festival and will personally promote his film debut.
Besides Macedonian producer of the film Dream Factory, co-producer is Red helicopter films from Albania. The film is financially supported by the Macedonian Film Agency and SEE Cinema network.
In the main roles are starring Martin Gjorgoski, Deniz Abdula and Nikola Ristanovski. The other actors that are participating in the film are Sarah Klimoska, Ljupco Todorovski, Adem Karaga, Goran Stojanovski, Igor Stojcevski, Boris Damovski, Marija Kondovska, Risto Burazdenov, Martin Živkovski and other.
Beside the screenwriter/director Vardan Tozija and the producer Ognen Antov, as part of the film crew were Goran Ignjatovski – design of make up and masks, Zaklina Krstevka – costume designer, Igor Popovski – Designer of sound, Aleksandar Pejovski – author of music, Kiril Spaseski and Natasha Dimitrievska – set design, Vladimir Samoilovski – director of photography, Atanas Georgiev – Editing and Kirjana Nikolovska – casting director.
