Marija Apcevska’s short film “Bardo” won yet another award at an international film festival. The film was screened in competition of 22 short films and won the ‘Cinecourts’ Award at the 34th Cinemed – Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival, which took place Oct.26 – Nov.3. Part of the prize is purchase and broadcasting of the film by the Cinecourts programme of Cine Cinema.
Bardo is a story about two friends, a little girl and a balloon which reminds her of her father. A story about a little girl’s world coming face to face with the world of grownups while attending her father’s funeral.
The Filmgoers’ award of the festival went to another film, a Serbian/Macedonian/Croatian/ Slovenian co-production “The Parade” by Serbian director Srdjan Dragojevic.
