Antonio Mitrikeski’s latest film “Children of the Sun” will have its premiere in Skopje tonight at 8pm. Following the premiere, the film will continue with regular film screenings in Cinema Millennium and Cineplexx.
The film is a tale of family and loyalty, love and loss, betrayal and redemption. As the mob destroys the life of a big family and leaves them on the brink of survival, a powerful, yet secret love burns between Marko (a gangster) and Angela – two high school sweethearts.
“Children of the Sun” had its world premiere at the closing ceremony of 2014 ICFF “Manaki Brothers” and also entered the official selection at Raindance Film Festival in London.
The film is produced by Horizon Film and Revolution Production and is a Macedonian/Serbian/Montenegrin co-production with screenplay by Gordan Mihic, director of photography Jaroslaw Szoda and Zorica Todorova-Mladenovik as a costume designer, with Kire Gjorevski and Ivana Pavlakovic staring in the leading roles of Angela and Marko.
