The 13th edition of the Festival of European Film – CineDays opens on Thursday with the Macedonian premiere of “Monument to Michael Jackson”. The film is a co-production between Croatia, Macedonia, Germany and Serbia, written and directed by Darko Lungulov.
The festival, to be held November 13-22 under the motto “Watch Out! Cinedays 13 is coming” includes a rich and exiting film and music program. The audience will get a chance to enjoy a selection of the very best of Europe’s and world’s cinematography including a quality offer of music documentaries and a selected choice of Macedonian short films with Brazil as this year’s country in focus.
The additional program presents a regional Film Camera Workshop, supported by the EURIMAGES Fund of the Council of Europe, the distinguished film critic Boyd van Hoeij will host a workshop on Film Criticism, and Virginie Bourdin, one of the world’s top visual effects art director will deliver a class on “Successful Creative Decisions Making in VFX Design”. In cooperation with the Macedonian Film Agency the festival will organize a regional EAVE ON DEMAND workshop for feature film projects in development under the mentorship of leading world experts in the field.
The festival closes on November 22 at Cinema Millennium with a concert by the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.
