“Fighting for Death”, the latest short by Eleonora Veninova was selected in official competition at the 43th Athens International Film and Video Festival which takes place April 4-10 in Ohio, USA. This also marks the premiere of the film at this significant festival where award winning films are eligible for Oscar consideration in the Short Film Category.
Mite Grozdanov and Ilija Strumenikovski play the lead roles of the two main protagonists who start arguing about who gets to die in the last grave. This is a paradoxical drama with an absurd twist of fate, dealing with the dilemmas of a man whose death plan suddenly gets disturbed.
The project won Best Script award at last year’s Drama Pitching Lab which took place within the International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece. “Fighting for Death” is written and directed by Eleonora Veninova and is produced by Goce Kralevski – DNF Films with Dimo Popov as director of photography, sound design by Darko Spasovski and set design by Nikola Angelovski.
The film is supported by the Macedonian Film Agency and Kanal 5 television channel.
