The Macedonian Film Agency will for the fifth time take part of the Marche du Film, within this year’s 67th edition of Cannes Film Festival running May 14-22. The Macedonian stand is located within the regional pavilion of South-Eastern Europe (SEE Pavilion) located between Palais de Festival and Plage des Palmes, an annual meeting place for a network of film professionals, offering a presentation of the latest of South-East European cinema.
Today at 5 pm the SEE Pavilion will host the Macedonian Happy Hour, attended by a number of festival selectors, festival directors, producers, directors, festival programmers, sales agents and other film industry professionals that will get the chance to learn more about the Macedonian cinematography and the possibilities that the country has to offer in the field of film production.
Cannes Film Market
The Macedonian Film Agency will present the Macedonian cinematic output to the rest of the filmmaking community, thus promoting the country as a film location which provides film production incentives, introduced in the new Film Industry Law, available to local and foreign film productions, guaranteeing the most favorable conditions for filmmakers.
The Film Market will host screenings of two Macedonian films: “To the Hilt” by Stole Popov and “Children of the Winter Sun” directed by Antonio Mitrikeski.

Visions Sociales Festival
Teona Mitevska’s feature“The Woman Who Brushed off Her Tears” on May 17 at 9 pm will open the selection of the Visions Sociales Festival, a partner to Cannes Film festival for the past 10 years, dedicated to socially engaged cinema, debates and meetings.
Producers on the move 2014
The Macedonian producer Ognen Antov will join 28 producers from across Europe that will be taking part in the European Film Promotion’s programme Producers on the move 2014, which spotlights emerging European producers and helps them embark on successful cooperations with their similarly ambitious PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE colleagues from all over Europe.
