The Macedonian Film Agency director, Ms. Mimi Gjorgoska Ilievska today (September 5) attends a conference Focus on Balkan Countries which takes place in Venice on the occasion of the 73. Venice International Film Festival.
The conference is organized by ANICA (National Association of Italian Film, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries) in partnership with Italian Ministry of Culture, heritage and tourism (MIBACT) – General Directorate of Film and aside from Macedonia is attended by representatives from the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Albania and Croatia.
The aim of the conference is to promote the funds for production of domestic films and co-productions and the possibilities for furthering the cooperation between the Balkan countries and Italy.
The Macedonian Film Agency director shall present the current co-production possibilities of the Republic of Macedonia aimed to develop the film industry in the country, past collaborations with Republic of Italy and the right to refund of 20% of the invested funds intended to stimulate the investment of funds in film/television projects realized on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.
