Kosara Mitik finishes filming on her latest project, “The Red Room”.
The film subtly deals with a common subject – the loneliness and the fear of facing it. The story focuses on Nikola, a retired maths teacher who has led a quiet and reclusive life until he starts to feel the need to escape the loneliness that is quietly killing him day by day. He decides it is time to make a change and becomes a star on a highly popular show called Love For Everybody, the concept of which is to help lonely elderly people find lifetime partners. Intoxicated by the fake glamour and magic of the show, Nikola easily falls victim to media manipulation.
The film is written and directed by Kosara Mitik and produced by Kristijan Burovski and Dimitar Minov (Black Cat Production) with Dejan Dimeski as director of photography, set design by Kiril Spaseski, costimography by Emilija Ivanovska-Atanasovska, editing by Vladimir Pavlovski and make-up by Natalija Kajevska.
The cast includes: Dime Iliev, Silvija Stojanovska, Marija Kondovska, Goran Ilik, Pepi Mircevski, Moni Damevski, Sashko Kocev , Slavisha Kajevski. The filming took place on several locations around Skopje over the period of May 12 – 19.
