The film “The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears” by director Teona Strugar Mitevska continues its successful festival journey. The film is one of the ten films selected to take part in the Parallels and Encounterts programme of the European Film Festival which takes place July 14-20 in Palic, Serbia.Srdjan Dragojevic’s “The Parade”, which is a Serbian – Slovenian-Macedonian-Croatian co production, also had its screening as part of the main competition programme.
“The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears” was also competing for the prestigious аward „Heart of Sarajevo“ as part of the competition programme of the Sarajevo Film Festival, which took place July 6-14, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The month of July is reserved for two more international festivals. The film will be presented in the main competition programme during the Brasilia International Film Festival, taking place July 18-23 in Brazil.
The end of July is reserved for the World Under Canvas programme of “Two Riversides” International Film Festival, which “presents the latest trends in artistic, independent and author’s cinema around the world, with the greatest emphasis put on the young European cinema.”
