“Three Days in September”, feature debut of Darijan Pejovski has been selected in official competition of this year’s Montreal World Film Festival. This is 39th edition of the prestigious film festival, which will run August 27 – September 7, 2015 in Canada.
This is a world premiere for the film “Three Days in September”, which will compete for one of the The Best First Fiction Feature awards, Bronze, Silver and Golden Zenith. The film is co-written by Darijan Pejovski and Igor Ivanov and is co-produced by Skopje Film Studio (Macedonia) and Ikone Studio (Kosovo).
“Three Days in September” is a psychological thriller that deals with the implications of domestic and sexual violence. Jana and Marika meet on a train and quickly become friends. They go to the countryside, a remote mountain area that holds a lot of secrets about Jana’s past. The time moves slowly and anxiously, and the doubts as to their true intentions grow stronger. One by one, the secrets unravel.
Irena Ristic and Kamka Tocinovski star in the main roles of Jana and Marika, with cinematography by Dimitar Popov, scenography by Snezana Ponjanic – Mucha, costimography by Emilija Ivanovska- Atanasovska, and makeup by Simona Ristevska.
The film is supported by Macedonian Film Agency and Kosova Cinematography Center.
