Premiere of “Second Chance” by Marija Djidjeva to open Skopje Film Festival

Skopje Film Festival opened yesterday night at cinema Millennium with the premiere of Marija Djidjeva’s feature film “Second Chance”. The film is a Macedonian-Serbian co-production (Small Moves Films and Biberche Production), written by Ognen Georgievski, with Dejan Dimeski as a DoP. The cast includes well-known Serbian actress Mirjana Karanovic as well as Daniela Ivanovska and Natalija Teodosieva. This is Marija Djidjeva’s first debut film, a drama that is seemingly politically engaged and obscure, but essentially focuses on interpersonal relations in extremely inhumane conditions in order to find and emphasize what is most sacred to all of us: love and hope.

This year’s “Skopje Film Festival” will feature fifty films divided in several program sections: Gala-program; European Film Program; Panorama of the world film; Short films, Documentaries; Macedonian production; Days of queer cinema for the LGBT community; Focus on French cinema and retrospective of the work of actor Meto Jovanovski.

Skopje Film Festival and the film “Second Chance” are financially supported by North Macedonia Film Agency.
