A 70-year-old housewife born in Yugoslavia has never pierced her ears. On a 40th wedding anniversary her 70-year old husband gives her earrings as a present forgetting that he was the one who asked her never to pierce her ears. She kept the promise all the way, but the dementia of her husband is threatening to wipe away all traces of their love.
