On the sixth edition of the Tracce Cinematografiche Film Festival in Rome, the short animated film “Round trip: Mary”, directed by Zharko Ivanov, won the Special Jury Animation Film Award. In strong competition from more than 1500 applications and 50 films in Official Competition, “Mary” won its 7th prize at international film festivals. The jury as motivation for the award said: The film is homage to the cinema, made using the art of expression, photography and editing, which guides the viewer from the outside to the inside of the film and again in a circle, from inside to outside.
Screenwriters of the film are Zharko Ivanov and Aleksandar Prokopiev, main animator is Aleksandar Zafirovski, director of animation is Krste Gospodinovski and author of the music is Oliver Josifovski.
The film is produced by Flip Book and is financially supported by the Macedonian Film Agency.
