Brief Synopsis:
Josif Bageri was an autodidact who learned to write and read at 18 and went on to become one of the most important personalities of the 19th century – a worthy representative of a period that many proudly call our “national revival”. Bagari stood up as a human hero and creator against 500 years of Ottoman rule in a period of titanic efforts to achieve freedom and national dignity. This dark time is transferred to film, sometimes through today digression will be interpreted with vivid colors in order to convey the idea that this effort was not in vain.
